Honey has been traditionally used as a powerful wound-healing agent across many different cultures due to its antimicrobial properties. Its antifungal abilities make it a perfect ingredient in combating face and body acne. It is also a powerful natural humectant, drawing moisture from the air to provide the skin with a boost of hydration.

INDIAN MADDER (MANJISTHA)

Manjistha in Sanskrit means “bright red”. Considered an extremely important herb in Ayurveda, Manjistha has been traditionally known to have purifying and detoxifying abilities and is effective against the acne causing bacteria. Additionally, used topically, Indian Madder aids in reducing hyperpigmentation by inhibiting tyrosinase, the enzyme that controls melanin production.
